Hikers paradise - Ella

Ella is a small town in the Badulla District of Uva Province, Sri Lanka governed by an Urban Council. It is approximately 200 kilometres east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1,041 metres above sea level. The area has a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna.

Ella is very special for hikers because they can get better experience. If you travel ella, you can visit many places to get best experience.

1.  Ella rock

 

Ella Rock is a famous cliff, located high above Ella's village, around 8km  from the centre of town – around 4 hours total trekking there and back. Panoramic views with mist and cloud covering in this
area is a treat to watch.

 

2.   Little adam’s peak

 

Little Adam's Peak is a 1.3 mile out and back trail located near Ella Rock house, Badulla, Sri Lanka that offers the chance to see wildlife .The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking. An easy trail to a picturesque spot.why is it called adam’s peak? Because it had a similarity to the adam’s peak

 
3.      Ravana caves

 

The Ravana Cave is located about 2 km from the Ella town and 11 km away from Bandarawela. It is quite a small cave. History says that the cave is used by King Rawana to hide the Princess Sita.
